Digital Edge recently completed negotiations with an international bank for a large-scale project involving their core infrastructure.
Discussions with the client continued for over six months and involved many facets. Numerous changes to specifications were introduced, which continuously affected subsequent designs and architectures. Multiple vendors were brought in at various phases as the appropriate hardware and software were being identified.
Throughout the extended initiation and planning phases, Digital Edge always kept the client's business needs at the forefront, committed resources to ensure the client's specifications were addressed and made use of our many partnerships to bring in the correct vendors.
The project scope includes the architecture and deployment of VMware technology to host VDI services. The solution will allow the bank to increase the efficiency of users' access to applications and improve overall business processes. As with any client engagement, Digital Edge will proceed with the customer's security and compliance as the main pillars in this deployment.
